I started in brand design and now build products people use everyday. I craft intuitive experiences that breathe life into a product with a pinch of delight. Seeing purposeful design making a difference for growing businesses still fuels me.

When I’m not conjuring new feature flows, you’ll catch me sketching gift ideas, hunting down a great cup of coffee or admiring beautiful lettering.

LONG AGO

The Spark & School

Singapore Design Festival convinced my younger self that design could save the world. I ditched social work ambition, dabbled in Photoshop and left JC for design school. I lost sleep (and blood on 45 deg blades) but gained some of my favourite years.

2011 – 2012

The First Grind

Debut to working life – I discovered the thrill (and terror) of revitalising and creating brands, swallowed feedback that bruised my fragile ego then, and pushed through iterations and focus groups.

Getting Schooled by Life

Hungry to learn, I threw myself into internships, working across cultures, using Adobe suite in traditional Chinese and somehow created campaigns for brands before knowing what they are.

2013 – 2015

Hustle Years

After university at Glasgow School of Art, I landed freelance gigs before graduating and found myself in a year where even my hustles were hustling. I taught foundation design back at Temasek Poly, worked part-time at a tech startup and ran my own studio, juggling clients and projects across all disciplines.

2016 – 2019

Trials by (agency) Fires

Designed monthly publications and exhibitions; led campaigns and teams. Each day was fire fighting and racing deadlines so tight they squeaked louder than my back.

Pivot

I was given an opportunity to use the skills I have till this point to build mobile and web apps, all through the madness of a pandemic.
